The mission of the Integrative Medicine Program is to empower patients to become active participants in their own health and cancer care through integrative medicine education and research-driven clinical care. We aim to optimize health, quality of life, and clinical outcomes of patients and families through exceptional research, clinical care, and education in integrative medicine across the cancer continuum of prevention, active treatment, and survivorship. The clinical team works collaboratively with the referring oncology team to build a comprehensive and integrative care plan that is personalized, evidence-based, and safe with the goal of improving clinical outcomes.
Patients can have an integrative oncology consultation, acupuncture, oncology massage, music therapy, and meditation guidance, which often require a referral from the patient’s primary physician. Group sessions are also available in several of these areas and these are offered at no cost to patients, families, and friends.
