			<title>terminology</title>

<description>I am a massage therapist who has recently joined SIO at the prompting of some of my massage colleagues who have described SIO as a progressive, welcoming and forward-thinking organization. As such, I was discouraged to see the word &quot;masseuse&quot; used in the first line of this article.
As a community of properly trained professionals who bring true value, as your article argues, to the field of integrative oncology, massage therapists work hard to gain appropriate respect and appreciation for that contribution. The paucity of research and the inuendo-laden past of massage as a practice does not make this easy.
The terms &quot;masseuse&quot; and &quot;masseur&quot; suggest something less than professional and even, for many people, something sexual. These terms are often, mistakenly, used interchangeably to indicate someone who performs massage therapy.
Please help us in making this important point to the medical community and the community at large by using the term &quot;massage therapist&quot; in the future.
Thank you for a wonderful article!

<description>abstract once saved can't be retrieved and it has several bugs in it.. It is really a difficult format to submit an abstract. The old email system has been easy. - Cheppail Ramachandran</description>

			<title>Intgrative Medicine Summit</title>
			<link>http://www.integrativeonc.org/index.php/summit-on-integrative-medicine-and-the-health-of-the-public#comment-4</link>
<description>All members are encouraged to attend this important workshop to develop policies for integrative medicine. As you know, The Institute of Medicine's recommendations are highly regarded internationally and are often quoted in the international media. It is important that oncology representatives attend. I will be there for the full 3 days and look forward to meeting up with other SIO members. Oncology interest groups could get together over dinner in the evening to discuss our own special interests. Please let me know.
